    For much of the business we conduct daily, paper is becoming the exception rather than the norm. Your member account statement is no different. Members who switch from paper to online statements have found they have greater control over their financial health. If you haven’t already switched to receiving online statements, here are a few reasons to make a change:

    Convenience. Members can access their statements instantly, from anywhere and at any time with an internet connection. This allows members to monitor their account activity and balances in real time, eliminating the need to wait for a paper statement to arrive in the mail.

    Environmentally friendly. Paper statement production requires resources like trees, water and energy, and they often end up in landfills after use. By opting for online statements, members can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to sustainability efforts. Electronic delivery also means you’ll have less clutter in your mailbox and less paper to shred.

    Secure. Paper statements are easier to intercept or lose during the mailing process and are also more susceptible to identity theft. Online statements offer an extra layer of security since your statements are accessed through your online banking portal.

    Archive and searchability. Members can access past statements at any time, which can be useful for tracking expenses, preparing tax returns or monitoring account activity over time. Additionally, online statements are often searchable making it easier to find specific transactions or dates.

    Simple sign-up. Check the opt-in box when you sign up for online banking. If you already have Credit Human online banking:
     
    1. Log in to your account
    2. Go to “Documents and Statements”
    3. Toggle the “Online Statements and Notices” switch on
