Tips to give you less stress and more joy this holiday season
With the holiday season approaching you might be asking yourself, is it possible to have a debt-free holiday season? Now is the perfect time to review your money management practices and make a plan to bring this to a financial reality. Here are some quick tips that will help you financially prepare for the holidays.

Make a plan for your money
    • Create a plan of how much you are going to allow yourself to spend and who you are going to spend it on. If you don’t have the money saved, consider how you will be able to save that money from now until then. Also, you might consider including savings as part of your spending plan going forward.

    • Thanksgiving is right around the corner. There is a good chance that your food or transportation expenses will go up too in the form of extra gas, food for extended family visiting and possible hotels if you plan on doing the traveling.

    • After Thanksgiving and leading up to the holidays in December, there are Christmas presents and other expenses like holiday parties to throw and attend. If you’re hosting, consider options like a potluck where everyone can pitch in don’t think you have to do it alone. And if you’re attending, make sure you remember to put the host gift or your potluck meal in your spending plan.
